Alma Lightbody and Mack Foster owners of Ainsliepoint Cottage | Pender Island | Gulf Islands

We've owned this beautiful property since 1992. We began by using a camper then gradually built the cottage. We had so much fun and enjoyment in the cottage with family and friends for several years as we made plans to build our retirement dream home on the same property. Once we had completed it and live here full time the cottage seemed kind of lonely. We decided to start renting it and share this beautiful location with others. The cottage has it’s own view and is separated from the house by trees. We hope you enjoy this location as much as we do. Welcome to Ainslie Point!

DIRECTIONS TO THE COTTAGE: From the ferry follow the signs to South Pender. When you cross the single lane bridge (15 minutes from the ferry), take an immediate right turn on Ainslie Point Road. It ends in a cul-de-sac and our number is 8805. We have a cement driveway and the cottage is half way down on the left side. You can park directly behind the cottage.
 

USEFUL INFORMATION TO GET TO PENDER: The ‘Pender Islands’ are located on the West Coast of BC between Vancouver and Vancouver Island and north of the San Juan Islands. You can access the Penders by car ferry, only two hours from Vancouver and even shorter from Victoria (especially in the summer, reservations from Vancouver are strongly recommended) or by seaplane (see useful links). We have a private 32ft dock and mooring buoy if you are planning to come with your own boat.

A vehicle on the island is an asset but there is a limited public bus transportation service.  We also have taxi service and locals will offer you a ride at one of the many ‘car stops’.
